Review: Neutrogena Revitalizing Lip Balm

In the winter, it feels like my lips are perpetually chapped. Wearing lipstick is a chore because I have to go through the pain of exfoliating my lips and letting an emollient balm sink in before I can start to put color on top. And honestly, who has time for that?! I'm a typical college student where every minute counts before getting out the door.

Enter this amazing lip balm. The color payoff is beautiful, and the hydration is beyond compare. Neutrogena Revitalizing Lip Balm is amazing, and will shorten anyone's routine. I believe there are a few other color options (including darker shades), but there's just something about this fresh pink that drew me in. I love mixing in spring colors with my winter routine to brighten up my day.

Please excuse the disgusting state of my lip balm. It is well loved and travels with me in my handbag.

5 Steps to Beat The Dry Winter Blues

It's that time of year when skin gets dry and scaly, lips become chapped, and your face is sucked of its light and dewyness. Here are five of my recommendations for how to beat the season!

1. Baby Oil- it's much more moisturizing than body lotion or even body cream. Bonus- it's cheaper.

2. Chapstick- Invest in a really moisturizing, emollient balm that blocks out the dryness. One of my favorites is Nivea A Kiss of Moisture.
3. Vaseline- Get a huge tub of this stuff and slather it on your scaly feet before slipping on a pair of socks. You'll wake up to super soft skin!
4. Cream Blusher- Nice, rosy, dewy cheeks. Need I say more?
5. Radiance Primer- This Laura Mercier primer leaves your skin looking healthy and lit from within without adding shimmer or shine. Perfect for boosting dull skin!
